At the core of our being as humans is an unquenchable thirst for more. The reason for this is simple: we were created by God for God, and nothing less than God will ever satisfy our deepest yearnings. The good news is, this intimacy with God can and should start right here, in this life.

That’s where we come in. The Roman Catholic Church is unique. Not only are we the largest religion in the United States, we are also the only Church that can trace its origins back to Jesus, who appointed the Apostle St. Peter first pope, when He declared, “You are rock, and on this rock I will build My Church.” This fact is significant and should not be overlooked. What we do as Catholics, how we worship, and the sacraments we administer were not the invention of a mere man. They came to us from God.  

There is much to learn about how we worship, what we believe and why. It’s possible that what you think you know about the Catholic Faith is simply false. 

The parishes of Our Lady of Hope are eager to meet people wherever they are in their faith and walk with them. Our journey of faith is exactly that — a journey, designed to move us from curiosity to falling in love with the God, Who is madly in love with each and every one of us.

We offer programs throughout the year to welcome and accompany people. During Lent, which is the season from Ash Wednesday leading up to Easter, we offer an evangelization program meant to introduce people to a deeper understanding of the Christian faith. This is a great opportunity for those who are not Catholic or were never baptized to learn just a little about what we believe.

For those who want to go deeper, or are considering becoming Catholic, we offer what we call “Inquiry” beginning in late spring and throughout the summer. This is an informal opportunity to ask questions and receive answers.

The Order of Christian Initiation for Adults (OCIA) typically begins in September and involves weekly classes of about an hour, leading up to the sacraments of Baptism, Confirmation and First Communion at Easter.

There is zero pressure, and we would love the chance to meet you.

The bottom line is that the Church wants people to be happy and to flourish. She also wants us to be saints — all of us!
